Oat Milk

A young woman navigating life alone in the big city…

Inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion, Oat Milk is a funny, heartfelt and slightly unhinged exploration of love, grief, forgiveness, second chances and what happens when you accidentally buy nine litres of oat milk. Through the perspective of a modern young woman, the play follows one night in Anne Elliot’s life: a night that might just change the rest of her life, provided she’ll let it. Hopefully, she won’t fully go insane in the process.

‍

Written and performed by Chiara Rosanna Krones, Oat Milk blends humour with emotional honesty to explore the messy realities of heartbreak, self-discovery, letting go and choosing yourself.

Rosy Coat Productions is an entirely female-led theatre company dedicated to showcasing new, original work written by women, particularly those with international backgrounds. Following celebrated early work-in-progress performances, the company is excited to bring Oat Milk to a wider audience and continue championing independent female theatre-makers.
