The Rosemary Branch logo is a moving triangle representing a multi-faceted space. Each plane is a different colour. The triangle shrinks and grows while rotating.

The Marvellous Adventures of Mary Seacole

“Unless I am allowed to tell the story of my life in my own way, I cannot tell it at all”

Cleo Sylvestre’s The Marvellous Adventures of Mary Seacole returns to the Rosemary Branch stage after 14 years.

In this bold reimagining, Trailblazer Award winner Daniella Pollendine steps into the legacy of Seacole - healer, traveller and witness to war, capturing the enduring spirit of a woman who paved her own way and defied the dominant narrative.

Directed by Sophia Woolfenden and Maria Sousa, this one-woman show rekindles Seacole’s journey through memory, identity, and the search for home: a tribute to Black history reclaimed and remembered.
