Unwanted Objects with Chris Riddell

“What are they to you?” Asked the shopkeeper, with a twinkle in his eye…

Old teddy bears, abandoned chess sets and ships-in-bottles... Every item in this mysterious and magical secondhand shop has its own history to share and tale to tell.

Unwanted Objects Best New Writing, Buxton Fringe 2023 returns for one-night only – with the single-award winning storytelling duo David Head & Matt Glover teaming up with multi-award winning illustrator Chris Riddell The Edge Chronicles, Coraline for this truly special performance.

Bittersweet short stories, folk-inspired musical melancholia will combine with live illustration to bring to life these tales of wit, whimsy and warmth like never before.

Unwanted Objects is an exploration of sentimentality, our possessions and the meaning we attach to them.
